Biasing Diodes

There are two ways of connecting diodes in a circuit.

Use conventional current flow.

We generally connect the anode toward the positive side of the circuit and the cathode, toward the negative side of the circuit.

This way of connecting a diode is called forward-biasing the diode.

This allows current to flow through the circuit.

When a diode is reverse biased, no current can flow through a circuit.
